Farmhouse Summer Pillows & Wreaths

Navy blue is one of my most favorite colors to decorate with in the summer. It just seems to fit the season–think nautical–and the holidays sprinkled through it. Using navy means that it works for the entire summer, as well as Memorial Day and the 4th of July. And really, it’s just one of those colors that’s always in style, a classic in its own right. It’s crisp and clean, and is perfect with white. I also consider it to be a neutral, and it pairs really well with many other colors.

There are so many really great farmhouse style patterns and textures that I love and adore, and they work so well with navy blue. Ticking, grain stripe, gingham, and buffalo check are all favorites, and they scream summer when they’re in navy blue. This navy gingham is perfect on my front porch…they make all the difference.

When it comes to wreaths, I always favor greenery of some kind. I like the added color, and the natural element it brings to my home. It really brings everything together. You can’t go wrong with a boxwood wreath, and they work just about anywhere.

My new favorite wreath is the Green Leaf Eucalyptus Wreath, and I have it hanging on a door in my foyer. I love it so much, I think I need to order another one! The wreath with the small white flowers and greenery is also so adorable, and works well for spring and summer. Honestly, I could use all of these things all year long!
