Farmhouse Christmas Home Tour
Welcome to Old Salt Farm for my annual Farmhouse Christmas Home Tour!

Can you believe it’s already December? This year has literally flown by. But I am not complaining–this is such a wonderful time of year, and I absolutely love decorating for Christmas. Everything is just so cozy…all the twinkling lights and greenery.
Farmhouse Christmas Home Tour
Let’s start with the front porch…welcome to our home! (All sources are linked at the end of the post…)

I go back and forth from year to year switching off from wreaths on the window to greenery along the front porch and around the door. I love both equally, so I figured this was the best way to do it! I always use fresh greenery outside, and I pick it up from one of our local tree farms. This year I added the black bench, and galvanized bucket full of logs. I just love black and white with the pop of green! Simple is always my favorite.

Through the front door the library is on the left, and the piano room on the right. A few Christmas trees and twinkly lights in these rooms transform them into some of my favorite spaces for the season.

I love the way the greenery pops with the blue in the rug in this room!

This is the first year I added a tree to our bedroom, and now I’m wondering why I waited so long! There is just something so magical about falling asleep and waking up to twinkling lights. LOVE.

The family room is the space we spend our evenings in. With a fire in the fireplace, and the glowing lights of the tree, it’s our favorite spot to play games, watch movies, and read Christmas stories. It’s cozy, and just exudes Christmas. Red is my favorite color, and I love love using it every year in my Christmas decor. Usually my style is more neutral, but this is the perfect time for all the red! Plaids, buffalo check, ticking, grain stripe…I adore any of these patterns with red in them. This is also where we put the tree that we cut down–which is a much loved family tradition. We totally lucked out this year, and it might be our favorite yet!

Into the dining room we go, which is open into the kitchen. Once again, simple greenery is my top choice for Christmas decor, along with pops of red. Wreaths on the doors and backs of the chairs, garland along the stairs, and a gaggle of mini trees…love them all.

The kitchen is one of the places we spend the most time. Whether it’s cooking or baking, eating at the island, doing homework, or just hanging out, it’s the center of our home. I keep a hot chocolate station on the counter next to the stove for the entire holiday and winter seasons, and my kids absolutely love to have it as soon as they come in the door from school. It’s a happy place!

Through the kitchen we go into the mudroom and laundry room, which is my lifeline all through the year, but especially during the winter! It’s the only space inside this year that I used fresh garland–all the other places have faux garland. I just adore it draped across the window and hanging down.

Thank you so much for coming along with me on my Farmhouse Christmas Home Tour! Here’s to a wonderful December that doesn’t go by too quickly. I want to soak up every minute!
