Farmhouse Fall Home Tour: Old Salt Farm

I absolutely love decorating for fall.  Perhaps it’s because it’s my favorite season–everything about it just speaks to me.  But I also think it’s because it works so well with my simple decorating style–pumpkins, apples, colorful leaves are fall perfection.  I’m delighted to invite you into my home for a farmhouse fall home tour…welcome to Old Salt Farm!

Black buffalo check, vintage olive buckets, white mums, and the cutest fall rug decorate my fall porch this year, and I’m not going to want to take them down!

I moved the fall wreath from the front door (last year) to a door in the foyer. I love that it’s the first thing you see when you walk in the door.  It adds so much to the space!

In the kitchen on my island, I used a tiered tray piled with pumpkins, apples in a white bowl, a wood fall sign,  my favorite Mrs. Meyer’s fall soaps , and a wreath above my sink to add fall charm.

I found that adorable chicken feeder tray and knew it would be perfect for my kitchen table, filled with apples for fall!

Just a few simple pumpkins in the office…

and fall leaves in the master bedroom.

An acorn wreath is perfect on the Dutch door–and I actually have hooks on both sides of the glass so I can move it when I want to!

I used my baker’s rack to hang my favorite fall aprons, and I added a mini boxwood wreath and DIY wood sign too.

Each season I change out the wreath on the chalkboard window in my laundry room. This fall I chose a yellow flower wreath–I love how it pops against the black and white!

I found the set of three copper pumpkins years and years ago when I was visiting my family in Utah. I loved them so much that I bought them and had them shipped to my house!  They’re still one of my very favorite things, and I use them every year.

I went with blue ticking and crisp white for couch pillows this year, and I fell in love with the black distressed tray when I saw it.

I added white mums to my hanging planters for the back patio, along with fall pumpkins.

Thank you so much for joining me…I’m hoping fall sticks around for a longer! Happy Fall!

Love you space. How do you store these items or do you just sell them after the season? I would love to see your storage solution for your household décor.

Hi, Hannah! I have a storage room in our basement with a lot of shelving, so fortunately I have plenty of space to store all of my holiday items and decor. I keep everything in labeled storage totes, stacked on top of each other on the shelves. Good idea for a post though—I’ll have to do that after the holidays!! xoxo
