Oh, how I love fall! It’s my favorite season, and definitely a favorite time to decorate. I tend to use more neutral pillows and wreaths, so I can add in pops of color with pumpkins and garland.
I know it may not seem like a typical fall color, but a navy or dark blue when combined with cream or white (or both) is just so lovely with fall colors like orange and brown. The textures of the pillows are also perfect for fall—grain stripe and ticking have long been two farmhouse favorites.
Best of all, these pillows and wreaths will work most of the year, which means less money spent throughout the year! I’m always looking for ways to save, and this is one of the ways I do it. I’ll use these same pillows in the spring or summer, and they look different when paired with sunflowers, tulips, or hydrangeas. Pair them with dark brown acorn wreaths or pumpkins, and it’s a completely different look for fall.
I can’t help but throw in a couple of pillows with text on them…I love words and quotes, and it’s another fun way to incorporate the season.
