Easy peasy lemon squeezy: “you can do it” gift tag
Four years ago I ran my first marathon.  It was one of the most challenging and most rewarding things I’ve ever done.  Nine months before that, my second set of twins were almost a year old, and I really wanted to get back in shape. My best friend asked me if I wanted to do a half marathon, and I actually laughed!  I’ve always played sports, but pretty much had the mentality that there was no reason to run unless you were chasing a ball. :)  I decided to take her up on it, and in ten weeks, I ran my first half marathon.  Then the crazy idea to run a marathon became a reality just six months later.  In nine months I went from running a couple of miles to running a full marathon, and while I’m not the fastest girl out there, I did discover what I can do when I make a goal and work hard.  I absolutely know that I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family, without my best friend (some of our long runs will forever be a part of my fondest memories), or without my closest friends cheering me on.
The day of the race, one of those wonderful friends gave us the cutest gift. I was feeling so nervous, and just that small and simple gesture gave me a boost that I so appreciated. Yes, it was kind of cheesy, but I loved it, and now when I want to cheer someone on, give them a little boost, and remind them that “you can do it”, this is a gift I love to give.
It’s so simple to put together, and SOÂ adorable! Â Does someone you know have a big game, performance, concert, test, speech or other life event coming up? Â Give them a little extra boost to show your support with this free printable gift tag!
I like to use these containers of Crystal Light–either the Pink Lemonade or Lemonade–but you can also use any kind of lemonade or lemon drink. Â The old-fashioned bottles of lemonade are also super cute, if you can find them! I use a little piece of washi tape to attach a couple of cutey-cute paper straws to the side, and I just love it!
You could also do a lemon treat–like lemon cookies or lemon bars–and tie them up in a cute bag or box with the tag. Â How about lemon drops in a milk bottle or mason jar? Â Anything lemon would be adorable!
To use the tag: Â download the PDF file below, and print on to white card stock. Â Cut around the polka dots, punch a hole in the corner or top, and use ribbon or baker’s twine to tie it on to your lemonade. Â I also distressed the edges with Distress Ink (affiliate link), which is one of my favorite things–I use it all the time!

I also love these fun friendship tags!  Show a friend or family member how much you love them!
