Candy Cane Marshmallow Dippers

Candy Cane Marshmallow Dippers

Easy and adorable Candy Cane Marshmallow Dippers made for dipping in hot chocolate!

Candy Cane Marshmallow Dippers

Hot chocolate is a favorite at our house, and pretty much anything related to it! These darling candy cane marshmallow dippers are so quick and easy to make. They’re so fun and festive, and who can resist peppermint and chocolate?

I like to set them out next to a batch of Crockpot Hot Chocolate, which is my family’s favorite all through the holidays and winter months. It’s also perfect for serving at a Hot Chocolate Party, packaging up as Christmas party favors, or putting on a Christmas treat plate for neighbor gifts.

Candy Cane Marshmallow Dippers

You’ll love how fast and easy they are! You just need three ingredients…large marshmallows, chocolate chips, and mini candy canes. Melt the chocolate chips in a glass bowl (30 second increments) in the microwave until smooth. Unwrap as mini candy canes as you need to not only dip in chocolate, but also enough to roll the dipped marshmallows in.

Once you’re prepped (and it only takes a few minutes), then you’re ready to start. Stick a candy cane in the middle of each marshmallow, dip in chocolate, then roll in the crushed peppermint. Set on wax paper to harden.

My kids love to help make these—rolling and dipping are a couple of their favorite things to do. They also like to unwrap all my wrappers for me!

Ingredients

  • 20 large marshmallows
  • 30 mini candy canes
  • 1 package chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Unwrap the candy canes. Place 10 of them in a sandwich bag, and crush them with a rolling pin. Pour out onto a place.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a glass bowl (30 second increments) in the microwave until smooth.
  • Stick a candy cane in the middle of each marshmallow, dip in chocolate, then roll in the crushed peppermint. Set on wax paper to harden.

Notes

The total count can really vary–depending on much chocolate you use when dipping, and how much of the crushed peppermint you use at one time.  To stretch the chocolate, hold it over the glass bowl and let the excess drip off before rolling in the crushed candy cane.
