Make these adorable and spooky cookies in less than five minutes! Perfect for any Halloween party or gathering, school lunches, and more.

My goodness, life can be so busy. I love celebrating the holidays with my kids in fun ways, but time can feel so limited. That’s why my mantra is all about simplicity, and finding really easy ways to make the cutest things in not much time. During the Halloween season, Oreo Bats, Owl Cupcakes, and Spider Brownies are at the top of our list for those reasons! Now enter in these adorably spooky Tombstone Cookies. They seriously take less than 5 minutes, and more like 1 or 2!
Really, we can thank Pepperidge Farm for their yummy Milano cookies, because they’ve done all the hard work. And…they totally look like tombstones, am I right? So perfect for Halloween! The beauty of using these cookies is that you can also make as many or as few as you need. Whether they’re for a crowd or to tuck into your kids’ school lunches, you can easily adjust the amount you make.

Ingredients
All you need to make these fun Halloween treats is:
- Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies
- Chocolate chips or melting chocolate
- Sandwich bag
That’s it! Totally doable, and so quick!
How to make
- In the microwave, melt about 1/4 cup chocolate chips in a sandwich bag. I started with 30 seconds, then took about the bag and gently massaged it to see how much melting had occurred. It it needs more time, try 10 second intervals and repeat the process.
- Lay out the Milano cookies on a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper.
- Snip off a tiny corner of the sandwich bag–start small, you can always cut more off if you need it. You don’t want it a very big opening–the bigger the opening, the larger the writing, which makes it harder to control.
- Push all of the chocolate to that end, then use it as a piping bag to write RIP on each cookie.
- Once the chocolate has cooled and hardened, you can pack them up to give as gifts, or lay out on serving plates.
I layered my cookies in darling Halloween cupcake liners that I found out the grocery store. If you can’t find specific liners for Halloween, you can always use any that are black and white polka dot, stripe, or patterned.
