Simple Farmhouse spring Home Tour

Simple farmhouse spring home tour, and a quick peek around Old Salt Farm, all gussied up for spring!

I’m a no-fuss decorator, for the most part. I love beauty to surround me, but simplicity is the most lovely to me. Spring is one of my favorite times to decorate, because it’s all about flowers and greenery, and other simple additions for the season. You’ll find that to be true in this year’s spring home tour! Spring doesn’t really show up here until the beginning of May. We even received several inches of snow just last week, but the weather is lovely right now. I finally felt brave enough to put all the snow clothes and boots away until next year!

Front Porch

It’s not quite warm enough to have real flowers on the porch, but a cute spring wreath is perfect for now.

The kitchen has a few spots that are perfect for adding a bit of spring. I love to have a wreath above the kitchen sink. The greenery really adds a pop of color and life into the whole space. It’s such an easy way to bring spring into your home, especially in an area that’s often the busiest. It definitely is at my house!

Kitchen & DIning

Gingham as long been my favorite pattern (even at age 19 when I was married, I utilized gingham at my wedding), and it’s nearly always in my kitchen somewhere. I just organized my dishtowels and cloth napkins this week…10 different colors of gingham were in there! So…it’s no surprise you can see a cornflower blue gingham dish towel by the sink, or hanging up on the oven door handle.

I have a big basket of my favorite faux flowers that I love. It’s rotated with a white pitcher with more favorite faux flowers, and they trade spots between the kitchen and the dining table. It just depends on my mood that day! But I love how they work so well in either place, and I can just trade them out when I feel like it!

The dutch door always has a wreath on it, and I change it out of the holiday or season. In the spring and summer it’s usually a greenery wreath, because it’s my favorite for this time of year.

Family Room

I found the most adorable gingham throw blanket, and thought it was the perfect spring addition to my family room, and also in my master bedroom! It’s soft, a great neutral, and as you know, my favorite pattern!

Master Bedroom

I don’t change out my master bedding for every season, but I do like to add different blankets and switch around pillow. The green wreath is also used in this space, and I love it against the words of the sign.

See that little jar of red sand on my dresser? It’s from my hometown, and a little reminder of one of my favorite places. I love where I live now, with all the seasons, but the red mountains will always have part of my heart.

Laundry Room

In the laundry room, I switched out the sign above the washer and dryer, and surprise…added a green wreath! It’s just one of the easiest and least expensive ways to decorate, and I love love the simple, neutral look.
