A Fall Farmhouse Home Tour
A tour of our fall farmhouse, welcome to Old Salt Farm! Neutral (whites and creams) farmhouse fall decor with greenery and accents of rust orange.
Autumn is here! I completely and utterly love all things fall, and I’m always so happy when it’s that time again. Our leaves are turning the most beautiful shades of red, yellow, and orange, and the temperature has dipped into the 50’s during the day. Crisp air, cozy sweaters, changing leaves…love! And decorating for the fall season is just so fun…homey, cozy, warm…all of my favorite things. I’m excited to invite you in…welcome to Old Salt Farm!

Farmhouse Fall Home Tour
I’m extra excited to show you the dining room this year, because of some brand new signs I designed! One says Autumn Market, and the other one says Farmers Market, simply because I couldn’t decide. So I’ll show you both and you can tell me which one you like!
GUESS WHAT?! You can actually buy these! I’m thrilled to be working with Between You & Signs, and they are selling them on their website and in their Etsy shop. Plus…there’s a Christmas sign as well, and I’ll give you a sneak peek and all the links at the end of this post.
Don’t you love that pop of rust orange? It’s perfect with the whites and greens.
As always, simplicity is my motto. This year I opted for white pumpkins, blue heirloom pumpkins, greenery, and pops of rust orange. I was so excited when we could make it to the apple orchard and pick out pumpkins last weekend—-they have the best selection. I used all real pumpkins, but you can definitely use white faux pumpkins if you like. I’m also thinking about getting a few when the season is over, and saving them for future years to supplement.
In the kitchen, I stayed with all white but with accents of wood and greenery. It feels so cozy to me. A friend of mine found the wooden crate and brought it over to me, and I absolutely love it. I knew it would be perfect for a pile of white pumpkins!
I found this cute green wreath in the dollar spot at Target, and it was just the right spot on top of my scale, along with a pumpkin. So easy, simple, and cost less than $5 total!
Faux leaves in a galvanized bucket brought in the richness of the season, and a bit more color to the room. I love it next to my sink!
Part of the mudroom I kept the same las last year, because I loved it so much. I also added a leaf wreath to the back door, and it’s the perfect touch.
I added just a couple of things to the master bedroom, but it’s amazing what a difference they make. Simple white pumpkins, and a pitcher of fall stems.
The library is another room that’s very similar to last year–except that it now has a desk in it for remote learning! I didn’t take pictures of that part. :)
I had fun with the mantel this year, and styled a bit differently than the past. More greenery, white pumpkins, copper pumpkins, and a fall bunting. Super cozy.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy fall, friends! 🍂

Love all of it! I love all the white with accents of color here and there. It looks crisp and clean and so inviting! Happy fall!
Thank you, Penny! Happy fall to you!!!
Kierste, you have an incredible way of making a home look so beautiful! I must admit though, that I wonder what it looks like when it looks more ‘lived in’. Our home never looks this amazing, even when it is tidied. Yours definitely inspires me! The white distressed dresser in a couple of these pictures…did you refinish that yourself? I really like it. We have a different shaped, shorter and wider, dark brown dresser that I want to refinish. It lives in our dining room…I have been wondering what colour and style to paint it…I think that this might just be the inspiration I need! I love your new signs too. I hope you won’t have people showing up at your farm though…. looking for the Autumn & Farmers’ Markets or the Christmas Tree Market! ;o)
Blessings!!
Thank you, Kim! And the truth is, it actually does look like this most of the time. Our home is definitely lived in, especially with six kids, but I’m pretty much a neat freak! LOL. And yes!! I did refinish the dresser. I found it at the Habitat Restore, and it’s one of my favorites. I lucked out and didn’t have to do much prep–it was in great condition–but I painted it white then sanded it for a distressed look. You’ll have to let me know what you end up doing with yours–I’d love to hear!
Absolutely stunnng!!!
Thank you so much, Jenny!!
Simply GORGEOUS! God bless you and yours, Kierste! :o)
Thank you for the beautiful glimpses of you home. I love your style.
