The beauty of these brownies is that they are so so easy to make. I know how busy life is, and sometimes you feel like there just isn’t time to do something fun and festive. But in this case, you totally do! I’ve used my favorite brownie recipe, but also my favorite brownie mix, and both are wonderful.

The ramekins are perfect because there are no other steps after baking…just pull them out of the oven and serve! You don’t need to cut the brownies, or put them on plates. Heart ramekins are how they’re baked and presented.

With a sprinkle of powdered sugar, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, you’ve got an easy but absolutely delicious Valentine’s Day dessert!

Where to find heart ramekins

I found my ramekins at Target, in the One Spot at the front of the store (January, 2023). They had packs of 3 for $3, and now I’m wishing I had purchased more! Since they are in that area of the store, you can’t order them online, but you can try a different store if you’re tracking them down.

If you don’t have a Target, or can’t find them there, you do have other options! I love using ramekins for many reasons, and they’re fun to have on hand all year round, not just at Valentine’s Day. Use them for other celebrations and holidays such as wedding receptions, bridal showers, birthdays, anniversaries, and more!

Or….go with a disposable paper option instead! These are great for gifting as well, if you want to spread a little love.

How to Make Valentine’s Day Brownies

You can use any favorite brownie mix or recipe you have and love! I often bake one of my favorite brownie mixes–Ghirardelli dark chocolate or Hershey’s. They’re perfect when you don’t have time to whip up a Add a cup or so of additional chocolate chips for extra fudginess!

Follow the baking directions on the back of the mix. You’ll most likely need to alter the baking time, because the ramekins may be a bit deeper than a baking dish. I start with 5-10 minutes more, watching them closely.

You can serve them warm or at room temperature. Our preference is right out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
