These darling Rolo and Oreo treats are just so cute–little holiday top hats with holly embellishment–take just minutes to make. My kids love to help make them, and I love having the help! (Especially the candy unwrapping, am I right?) Add them to your holiday treat plates, as part of a place card display, or even as holiday cupcake toppers!

Ingredients
- Mini Oreos (I buy them in the small snack bags)
- Rolos
- Holly sprinkles (I found mine at Target, also on Amazon)
- Decorator cookie icing
I picked up everything I needed at Target–I love their Christmas section. The cookie icing came in a box of two, and we used them for gingerbread houses too!
Per hat you need:
- 1 mini Oreo
- 1 Rolo, unwrapped
- 1 complete holly – two leaves, one red ball
- Cookie icing – just a bit!

How to make
Separate the mini Oreos, and remove the middle icing.
Lay out the Oreos so that the writing is facing upward. Put a dot of cookie icing in the center, then place one unwrapped Rolo in the center, with the smaller end on the bottom, wider at at the top. I don’t usually put it in the very center–I’ll leave just a tiny bit more space on one side to fit the holly.

Put a dab of icing right on the Oreo, and place each holly leaf, and the red ball. Let sit until the icing is hardened–about 4-5 minutes.

FAQ
Sure! You can use whatever you like. Use your creativity and preference.
Yes, but it needs to be royal icing, or a frosting that will harden. Buttercream won’t hold everything in place.
