4th of July Fruit Kabobs

Easy and festive 4th of July Fruit Kabobs, featuring watermelon stars and fresh blueberries!

Two of the most popular fruits at our house are watermelon and blueberries, and we go through quite a bit of them during the summer months. They really are the epitome of summer, so it’s quite natural they would be perfect for the 4th of July. These darling fruit sparklers are quick and easy to make, and so fun for any patriotic picnic or BBQ.

Aren’t they the cutest? I actually made these for Father’s Day this weekend, because my husband loves them. In just a few minutes, you can have darling fruit kabobs that are both cute and fun to eat. If you’re serving kids, this is a great way to get them to eat fruit–it’s so much more fun on a stick!

If you’re looking for 4th of July fruit ideas, or fruit kabobs for the 4th of July or Memorial Day BBQ, definitely add these to the list. Everyone will love them, and you don’t have to spend all day making them!

You can certainly add in different fruits if desired…strawberries would also work well to fit with the red, white, and blue theme.

How to Make 4th of July Fruit Kabobs

Take each wooden skewer and slide blueberries on to the pointy end, pushing them gently up toward the middle. Repeat this process until you have as many on there as you’d like, leaving about 2-3 inches for the watermelon star.

Cut your watermelon into slices. Use a cookie cutter (the metal ones work really well in watermelon) to cut out star shapes from each slice. Slide a star on to the top of the blueberries on each skewer.

Cut any remaining watermelon into cubes for munching!
