Kitchen Drawer & Cabinet Organizer Ideas
A collection of my favorite kitchen drawer and cabinet organizers that not only keep everything tidy and organized, but also maximize space. Discover easy solutions for kitchen drawer organization, enhance functionality, and make it beautiful!

One of my guiding mantras has always been a place for everything, and everything in its place. It helps our household run so much more smoothly, and for everyone to do their part. And…really I love how it looks! Whether it’s my recipes, the kids’ school papers, or even the medicine cabinet, organization keeps my life in order.
While we were still building, I thought about how I wanted to organize each room, not only for orderliness, but I’ve learned over the years that it also maximizes the space I have, no matter the size. The kitchen was at the top of the list, and I spent time looking at different options–for price points, efficiency, and functionality. Now that we’ve been in the house and lived with them for awhile, I wanted to share my favorites and why I like them. Welcome to my kitchen!

Kitchen utensils
Using drawer dividers instead of individual bins is my preference for a couple of reasons. It can be tricky to find some that will fit in drawers, or use all the space within a drawer. I use them where I can, and sometimes I luck out with sizing, but adjustable drawer dividers are where I start. Depending on the width and depth of your drawer, they can be placed any way you need to be. Using tension, there are no extra items you need to make them stay in place. Super easy! These dividers went in many of my drawers, for many different types of kitchen items.
My kitchen utensils drawers were the perfect place for the dividers, and you can see I used them in shallow, wide, and deep spaces.

For my baking utensils, I used both a divider and a wood drawer organizer for smaller items. I was able to place my divider precisely to fit the exact size of the bin, so I didn’t waste any space in the drawer.

Works in so many different kitchen drawers!
Flour, sugar, pantry basics
I decided to use glass jars to keep pantry basics like flour, sugar, brown sugar, oats, and pasta. They’re on a shelf in the pantry, but could certainly be kept in a cabinet, or countertop as well. I just love the way they look, and I can easily see how much I have left for restocking. They come in several different sizes, including the tall and skinny jars for pasta! I took these partway through the process, so you can see them both empty and filled. They come with the cutest labels, and there are so many to choose from.

Pots & pans (and lids)
Using the same drawer dividers as above works really well for my pots and pans.

Plastic lids
Lids can be such a hassle to store. I’ve tried different methods, but finally I bought this bamboo lid organizer, and it’s perfect. There are slots in the sides, and you add in the dividers to accommodate the sizes and amounts of lids you have.

Cookie Sheets & Muffin Tins
I found these cookie sheet dividers in two widths, and I’m so happy to have the different sizing. One can also be a cookware organizer, and the dividers are wide enough to hold my jumbo muffin tins. The other is a standard size cookie sheet organizer, that also works for cutting boards and other items like cooling racks. I keep them in the cabinet above my oven side-by-side, but they could also go in a cabinet that’s taller and thinner as well.

I also used the wider set to organize my pot lids, in a drawer above the pots and pans.

Silverware
An expandable silverware organizer was what I needed for this large drawer in our kitchen island. I love that I could customize it to fit the space. My silverware fits well, and I love the bamboo.

Spices
Hands down, this one of my very favorite kitchen drawer organizing projects! Before we moved in, I transferred all of our spices into these darling spice jars. They come with all the labels you could possibly need, which is so nice. I used the drawer dividers to create three rows to fit the jars in a wide drawer next to the stove. If you have a drawer available, I think it’s more convenient than a cabinet. If you are using a cabinet, you’d need shelves so you could fit more spices and also see all the labels at the same time. In an afternoon, I was able to get all these finished. The kit comes with everything you need–jars, labels, and a small funnel. LOVE!!

Knives
I’m one that does not love having a knife block on the counter. So if I have the space in a drawer, that’s where I’ll store our knives. I found this knife drawer organizer that I love–it’s basically a flat knife block.

Foil & plastic bags
This drawer has to be one of my favorites! No more boxes with ripped tops–just a nice and neat drawer. Super easy to refill, and to use. I have the organizer for foil, plastic, and wax paper, and a 5 piece organizing set for sandwich bags, plus gallon, quart, and snack sizes.

Pantry items
To organize pantry items, I found the best clear bins in different sizes. I use them to organize snack and lunch items for my kids, packets of different sorts, small boxes, baking supplies, and more. They’re perfect to keep extra spices and oils in a cabinet next the stove as well. They are so versatile, and can be used for any kind of storage throughout the kitchen! I also used this set of clear bins, which are a little different, but I love just as much.

This set of clear organizers is a little different–it has a low front that works great for cabinets that don’t have room above them to lift items out.

In addition to the clear bins, I utilized wicker baskets that have chalkboard labels for other pantry items. This is my pantry for snacks and school lunch items, hence the bread and peanut butter!

For potatoes and onions, I love these mesh baskets.

Canned goods
A canned goods organizer saves so much room, and helps me keep everything organized by type of canned good. I really like how they are angled, so the cans easily roll forward. The separators also slide, so they can accommodate larger or smaller cans, depending on what you have.
