Easy No-Bake Homemade Granola Bars
Our family LOVES these homemade granola bars, and they are a constant in our home. They may also the easiest recipe you’ll ever make! Just three ingredients (plus any mix-ins you like), and you’ve got a yummy no-bake after school snack, quick breakfast, or addition to a school lunch.
They’re a no-bake granola bar, so there’s no oven time, just a little bit in the fridge to harden them up for cutting and wrapping. You can keep them refrigerated if you like, but they’re also really yummy at room temperature–they’ll just be a little softer.
EASY NO-BAKE HOMEMADE GRANOLA BARS
Instead of granola bars, you can easily roll them into balls if you prefer. I really go back and forth in between the two.
Just THREE ingredients!
You seriously cannot beat how quick and easy these homemade granola bars are! Peanut butter, honey, and oats…that’s it! You can easily make these gluten-free by using gluten-free oats, and since I have a daughter that has celiac disease and can’t eat gluten, it makes them even more popular at our house.
You can also add in mix-ins you like–coconut, nuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, sunflower seeds–the sky is the limit. I love being able to use the same basic recipe, but change it up if I want to.
Great for kids to eat…and in the kitchen
If you have a child that wants to be more hands-on or independent in the kitchen, this is a really great recipe for them to try. It’s easy from start to finish, with no oven or stove, and they can really do everything until it’s time to cut them–which is best for an adult to do.
Great for snacks, school, breakfast, and on-the-go
I can’t tell you enough how obsessed my kids are with these granola bars…I simply cannot keep them in stock! On crazy mornings I’ll wrap them up in a napkin, and my kids will eat them on the way to the bus stop. Sometimes I’ll make them for an after school snack, and with a big glass of milk, they are perfection. Tuck them into a school lunch, or take them on the road…they’re yummy no matter how or where! It’s starting soccer season here, and my kids always get so hungry when they’re playing…or watching. These are perfect to wrap up in some wax paper and bring along–packed with protein and flavor!
