Washi Tape Cupcake Toppers
We love cupcakes at our house. They’re a part of every holiday during the year–at home with our family, parties, simple gatherings, and giving as fun gifts. The fastest and easiest way to dress up a cupcake is to add a cupcake topper, and one of my favorite ways to do that is with washi tape.  These darling Washi Tape Cupcake Toppers are simple + cute, and are easy to make for any holiday or occasion!
Aren’t they adorable? And so fast and easy–I just love them!
I love using paper straws to put the washi tape on–they add even more color and charm. They’re also tall enough that I can add three or four pieces of tape on it, and still have room to poke it down into the cupcake. You can also use cake pop sticks or lollipop sticks, but I suggest getting them as tall as possible.
Just fold pieces of washi tape over the straw, and then trim it as necessary. If you end up overlapping the tape a little, just use scissors to take off the excess. I also like to make a little tag shape with my scissors at the end of one or two pieces of the tap for added embellishment.

I just love being able to use any color or theme of washi tape and create the perfect cupcake toppers for any occasion, theme, holiday, or season. I found this awesome holiday collection of washi tape–at around 50 cents per roll–such a great deal!
I also keep on hand paper straws in different colors–they come in handy for so many things, and I use them for almost all of my cupcake toppers.
If you’re looking for a quick, easy, and super cute cupcake topper…washi tape is the way to go!
