{Valentine’s Day Pallet Board} with Chalkboard Blue
Hello Again!  Michelle from Chalkboardblue!  I wanted to share with you an item I made to decorate with for Valentine’s Day…
a pallet-style board accented with wooden decorated hearts!
I found some wood shapes cut into hearts at Hobby Lobby.  I painted some of  them red and pink.  I traced and cut some music sheet paper and used old book paper and glued them to cover the remaining hearts.
I cut some vinyl with sayings that I wanted to be on the different hearts and placed them…
I did various words…
 and numbers…
I made my pallet board out of a plank of cedar fencing I purchased at Lowes.  I cut 3 boards from this plank, each measuring  18 3/4 inches long.
I s tained the 3 boards with a  Minwax Special Walnut  color stain…
When  the stain was dry,  I sanded it down a bit.  I next painted a coat of white paint over the stain…
When the white boards were dry, I turned them over. Â I took some scrap boards and cut them 1.5 inches wide by 13 inches long.
placed some adhesive glue on the cross boards…
used a brad nailer to nail the cross boards to the backs of the white boards… Flipped it back over and the pallet portion is complete.
I next arranged the hearts how I wanted them and glued them onto the pallet board…
Displayed it with a little valentine garland…
The finished decoration measures roughly 16 3/8 in tall by 18 3/4 in long. Â Perfect to put almost anywhere!
