A few weeks ago, I told you all about our plan to visit San Antonio for a quick family getaway, before the craziness of our move started. Can I just tell you how much fun we had? It was just what the doctor ordered!

I thought I was in love with the HP Pavilion x360 before the trip, but now I KNOW I love it. It was a hot commodity while we were driving both there and back, and it rotated through all the kids, so they could each have their turn.  They used it for movies and games, and I used it for my sanity.  ☺

It was the perfect size to have in the car–small enough that it wasn’t in the way, or too hard to move back and forth, but big enough that the whole back row of kids could watch a movie and all see the screen.  It was a lovely traveling companion, to be sure! Even as we traveled late into the night, I was able to take it over and use it myself!  When we got to the hotel, and all the kiddos were in bed, I checked on all of our plans for the following day, then we could watch our own movie!

The next morning, we were ready for Sea World!!  I just have to show you this picture, because it makes me laugh every single time I look at it. After I finished doing everyone’s hair for the day, I still needed to get myself ready. So, my husband being the very brave man that he is, decided to take all of the kids down to breakfast.  Including the baby. By himself.  Now, he’s a a great and very capable dad, but there is something about a hotel breakfast buffet and all that sugary cereal I don’t buy that makes them go a little crazy. So…he lined them up, and had them pledge their good behavior.  As you can see, they took it very seriously.  From what I heard, it worked. Way to go, babe.  You really ARE Super Dad! (There was never any question…)

With Texas-shaped waffles filling our tummies quite nicely, we were ready for a full day at Sea World.

Oh, and P.S…do not wear a black tee shirt in the middle of summer when you’re in Texas and plan to be outside all day.  You will nearly die of heat stroke.

The kids loved all the rides, and were also SO excited to see the shows, especially “Shampoo”.  Lol. Frozen lemonade was also a big hit, and a definite highlight for me.  ☺

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and all too soon it was late, and time to leave.  After a yummy dinner, it was back to the hotel for some much heeded down time and relaxation.  The kids were dying to watch a movie, so we set them up in their room (we get a suite) with the HP Pavilion, and they were set!  Often times we will be in a hotel, and there just isn’t much of anything for the kids to watch at night, so having the Pavilion along with us was perfect. They were in heaven!!!

We ended up needing to make a change in our itinerary the day we were headed back home, and I had some great helpers hop online and help figure out what the plan needed to be.

Thanks to our trusty “red computer”, everything was solved in no time, and we were back on the road! It really was the perfect traveling companion for us in so many ways–it’s size and ability to be both a tablet and laptop really proved to be so valuable to us both on the trip, and at home.  We love it.

What a wonderful time we had!  I’m SO glad it worked out for us to sneak it in.  Now I can print pictures from our trip at home on our trustyHP Envy 5530 e-All-in-One- Printer , and make a fun summer vacation photo book on Snapfish!
