Summer is here! One of my favorite things about summer is having people over and entertaining family and friends. I love to decorate the table for each gathering, and I’m always on the hunt for really cute tableware and serving dishes. For years, one of my go-to places to find them is Walmart Home. They have a super cute selection at reasonable prices, and every year I add a few more things to my collection.
This past week I snapped up some fun items for a summer tablescape, which I found online, and they came right to my front door. I’m in love with all things lemon, and the color yellow is perfect for summer, along with an ocean blue color.
Lemony Summer Tablescape
Aren’t those colors the cutest? So summery! Whether it’s our own family or hosting friends, these dishes and tableware will be the perfect touch. I also chose a few items that will work all year long, and I save money by investing in pieces that I can use again and again.
Galvanized serving pieces
Galvanized serving pieces are my favorite, because they go from season to season, and I can use them for just about any event. Walmart has been a staple for me to find them, and they’re some of my most used pieces year round. I have other tiered trays, but I liked this one because it’s a really good size, and bigger than my other ones. It also has three tiers, which makes it even more versatile. The best thing about tiered trays is that they can be used for practical purposes, or for displaying decor, so they’re definitely multi-use.
I also love glass pitchers, and this order comes as a set. One for decor, one for drinks. Or two for drinks! It’s really cute with the lemon stems in it, and the other one I can float lemon slices in water or another drink to add even more lemons.
Summer Dinnerware
And let’s talk about that cute dinnerware! The aqua is summer perfection–and I love the two colors together. If you wanted to do all yellow, the dishes come in that color as well. But they don’t have to be just summer dishes–they’re also wonderful for spring, but also everyday dishes if that’s what you’re looking for. And do you notice the matching silverware? It’s not usually something I splurge on, but they were only $9, and I couldn’t resist because of how cute they are. I plan to use them all through the summer.
Griddle + tray
See that cute speckled tray? It’s actually a GRIDDLE! Isn’t it adorable? It’s a non-stick, lightweight cast aluminum, and works on the stove and in the oven. What I love is that you can cook or serve on it, and it looks super cute on your table. Look at those handles! I just love it. Great way to serve grilled meat, vegetables, and even breakfast items like pancakes and bacon!
And let’s be honest. I cannot resist anything that’s gingham. EVER. If it’s gingham, I will buy it! When I saw these darling napkins I knew they would be just the thing to pull it all together. I don’t always use them as napkins—I’ll often use them as part of my decor. They’re perfect for layering in trays or under serving dishes, just to add a little extra something.
