Halloween Rolo Pretzel Treats

One of our favorite treats to make at Christmastime is Rolo Pretzel Treats. They are brilliantly quick and easy and completely addicting.  Sweet caramel and chocolate, combined with salty and crunchy pretzels?  That’s a recipe for perfection!  Because we love them so much, I thought it would be fun to make a Halloween version!

This is one of my kids’ favorite treats to help with in the kitchen, and it’s perfect for little hands. Everything from unwrapping all the Rolo wrappers to laying out the pretzels on a cookie sheet, to setting the M&Ms on top…they love it, and I love it too!  It saves me a ton of time, so if you can find some little (or big) helpers at your house, I would grab them up! I always promise a Rolo (or two…or three) in trade, and I never get turned down!

It’s seriously the EASIEST recipe ever.  Just a few ingredients, and 3 minutes in the oven! These are so fun for gift-giving, parties, classrooms, and more.  Wrap them up cute, use one of my fun Halloween Printable Tags  and you’re set! Are you “boo-ing” your friends, neighbors or co-workers this year?  These would be perfect!

They can also be changed up for every holiday–Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, and color scheme you like.  I like using M&M’s because they’re the easiest to both find them in seasonal colors.  I’ve also made them with pecans instead of chocolate on top, and HELLO!!  So fabulous! Try Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (mini ones) or peanut and peanut butter M&M’s–they’re all yummy.

One of my favorite things about these pretzel treats is that they’re so easy to make gluten-free. Rolos and M&M’s are both gluten-free, and if you use GF pretzels, you’re good to go! My daughter LOVES these, and they’re an easy treat that she can have, and that I can keep on hand.

Enjoy!!!

I haven’t tried it with M&M’s – I use pecans instead. Everyone raves about them!
