I have been shopping at OshKosh B’gosh for a very long time–more than ten years! It’s a store that’s on my go-to list for many reasons, but I especially love it around the holidays. Darling holiday outfits, adorable pajamas, and great deals to stock up on basics for the rest of the year are all part of the appeal!
I love buying Christmas outfits for my kids every year–it’s one of the times during the year that I buy new dress clothes for them to wear to church and other nice events.  They’re just so festive and fun, plus they make great pictures.  :) I had the opportunity to shop there last week, and went with my list of all the things I wanted to check out:
1. Â Holiday Outfits
2. Â Christmas pajamas
3. Â Great deals on basics, like jeans
I found all of the above! I saw the cutest holiday skirts, and these adorable gray sweaters that I ended up buying for my boys. I found super cute Christmas pajamas (a Christmas Eve tradition at our house), and bargains on jeans (which after moving to New York from Texas, I’m still stocking up on!)
I’ve always appreciated the durability of OshKosh–with six kids at home, finding quality items for a decent price is very important, and something I depend on. The other thing I LOVE?  The fact that their sizes go up to a 12!  I’m kind of obsessed with matching around the holidays, for both clothes and pajamas, and it makes me so happy that I can get the same ones for all of my kids.  It also means that I can shop there for a long time, and then pass them down the line!
One of the best parts of the holiday season as a family, is when reach out to others and give. I just love OshKosh’s #givehappy campaign, because it really is the reason for the season. Even the smallest act of kindness goes a long way.
This year we did something that was extra special to our family. Our baby girl has been hospitalized three times in the PICU over the past few months, and the most serious episode resulted in her being intubated, since she was unable to breathe on her own. Â She was given excellent care, and we so appreciate everything that they did for her. While we were there, I discovered through my own experience, plus conversations with nurses, that they were really short on toys for the kids that were admitted there. Â When you’re confined to a two foot space, and literally connected by wires everywhere on your body, there isn’t a lot to do. Â I decided then and there that gathering toys, games, puzzles, and books for the PICU would be the perfect service opportunity for our family, and to pay forward our gratitude. Â We reached out to friends and church members near us, and they really came through. Â My kids cleaned every single toy and book, then separated and organized them. We went together to purchase a few new toys and art activities and then delivered them to the PICU last week for our Family Night. Â It was such an amazing experience for me, the kids, and our entire family.
