One of my boys’ rooms recently became the guest room, and it was time for a refresh. With new bedding and a few extra touches, it’s now ready for guests!

FARMHOUSE STYLE GUEST BEDROOM
I absolutely love it. I needed to stick to a budget and not spend a lot, but still find quality pieces that I love. I was able to do both! I knew I wanted to go with white bedding, to contrast with the grey walls and wood headboard. As a side note…the headboard is the barn door we made for our home in Texas, and I love that we could incorporate it in this room!
I started with new comfy white sheets and my most favorite mattress pad ever. It’s by Better Homes & Gardens, and it is not only super soft and comfy, but the top layer snaps right off, so you can just unsnap that part and wash it, not the whole thing. It’s fabulous–and my go-to mattress pad. I fell in love with the white ruffled bedding, and knew it would be the perfect thing for this room. Now my guests will be extra cozy and comfy! Bedding always makes such a big difference in any room–it’s always a great place to start when you’re redoing a room, or giving it a refresh.
I love the look of a stool instead of a traditional nightstand, so I was excited to find this one. I adore the metal legs and wooden top…it’s perfect.
I thought about adding a lamp on the stool, but since there really wouldn’t be enough space, I decided on this darling adjustable arm lamp instead. I just love the way it makes the room look!
With just a few simple additions, it’s like a whole new room. We are ready for guests!
