{easy valentine idea…o “fish”ally!!} FREE printable included!
Are you looking for an quick and easy Valentine idea? I’ve got one for you, plus the FREE printable!
I first saw this “fish” idea over on eighteen25 several years ago, and loved it! I also thought it would make a darling Valentine…and it does!
This is SUPER easy, and won’t take long at all! Just download the printable, and print as many as you need–onto white or cream cardstock. I created the color border around it, so there’s no need to mat it on any other paper! Cut them out, punch a hole in one corner, and tie on to a bag of Swedish fish, or even goldfish crackers. I used clear treat bags, and bakers twine, but ribbon would be cute too!
I found giant bags of Swedish fish at Target for less than $5, and it will make at least 30 valentines. We have a lot to make, so this is a good thing! They were in the regular candy aisle, not with the Valentine’s candy.  I love that they’re adorable, and pretty cost effective too. If you don’t want sweets, use the goldfish crackers instead–either way, it’s darling!
If you need a last minute idea, this is a perfect one, and works for both boys and girls. My preschool-aged boys are super excited about taking these to their friends, and my 7 year old girls also love them. I made two sets of printables–one with a red heart, and one with a pink one–mostly because I knew my girls would love the pink, and it would make them a little different.
I’m totally looking out for you. ☺
