{easy peasy outlet insulators}

Don’t you just love home projects that take like…less than 10 minutes?  :)  Well, it’s your lucky day, because I’m going to tell you about something we just did to winterize our home a little more–and it was fast and cheap!!

Have you ever seen these outlet insulators before?

I found them in the electrical aisle at The Home Depot (you can find them at other hardware and retail stores as well), and this entire package was less than $3!  It’s enough for 7 outlets and 3 switch covers. You can actually lose a lot of heat (and let a lot of cold in) through your outlets , specifically the ones on your outside walls. These inexpensive foam insulators will help winterize your home, and won’t break the bank, or take a lot of time.  Even here in Texas, the weather is getting colder, and this was any easy project that we completed in less than 10 minutes!

 I even took a little video of my cute husband installing one of the insulators, so you could see how long it takes.  We’re talking 15 seconds per outlet, people.  FAST.

I first learned of these at one of my Celebration of Service events with The Home Depot, and I’m so glad I did!
