And so it begins.
I was doing my calendaring for the week, and realized that our summer is quickly coming to a close, and that the craziness and busy-ness of school and fall are upon us. Even though we have a few weeks before school starts, Â I have several kids playing soccer, and the season is in full swing starting this week. Â It means 4-5 times a week of being out of the house in the evening, and limited time to make and serve dinner. Â I know I will need to rely on my crockpot a lot, so I can serve yummy, healthy dinners to my family without spending a lot of time in the kitchen.
I gathered some of the most mouthwatering, family-friendly (or anyone friendly) slow cooker recipes I could find, and you can bet they will be on my menu starting…now! Â Everything from fajitas to one-pot chicken dinners is on this list, and I hope they’ll help you with your busy schedules too!
When I do roundups, I rarely do more than 20 items–usually around 10 to 15–and that’s based on my own personal preference. I’m too impatient to look at posts with more than that, so that’s what I do. :) Â If I try 1-2 recipes a week, these will last me two months!
I also thought I would share my favorite crockpot –the kind I’ve had for a long time and love!! It’s programmable, which is huge for me, and it is a great size.  I love love it!
Cream Cheese Chicken Taquitos, Le Creme De La Crumb
Okay, anything with cream cheese is worth trying. :)
Best Crockpot BBQ Chicken, Family Fresh Meals
My kids LOVE BBQ chicken, and I’m always on the lookout for a really yummy and easy crockpot recipe that I can just throw in in the morning. Â This will be one of the first we try!
Creamy Crockpot Mexican Chicken, Thrifty Frugal Mom
Anything Mexican is my favorite, and the creaminess will take some of the heat away for the kids. Â Looks amazing!
Honey Garlic Chicken & Veggies, Damn Delicious
This picture makes my mouth water! Â This looks like such a yummy way to serve vegetables!
Slow Cooker Lasagna, Betty Crocker
Okay, I admit it. I never make lasagna, because it takes SO long. Â This though, I think I can do–you don’t even have to cook the noodles first!
Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken, Gimme Some Oven
I love teriyaki, but my husband really isn’t a fan. I’m trying to find a recipe that he’ll like to, and this one looks like a really good prospect!
Slow Cooker Meatloaf, Number 2 Pencil
Meatloaf is a family favorite, but it’s usually a “Sunday dinner”, when I have more time to make it. Â I’m excited to think about making it mid-week!
Cheesy Crockpot Tortellini, Belle of the Kitchen
Cheese. Tortellini. Â Can’t see anything wrong with that picture!
Skinny Italian Stuffed Peppers, The Skinny Fork
I adore stuffed peppers, but I haven’t made them for my family before! Â I usually do a shortcut version, but if I can make them in the crockpot, I’m definitely going to try them!
Seasoned Chicken, Potatoes & Green Beans, The Magical Slow Cooker
I am a HUGE fan of one-pot meals. Â I just love being able to put everything in one dish–it’s easy to make, and easy to serve, and so much less time in the kitchen!
Baked Ziti with Italian Sausage, Bakerette
Pasta, cheese, sausage–my kids are going to love it! (And so am I!)
Slow Cooker Beef and Cheese Pasta, The Cooking JarÂ
This looks AMAZING.
Slow Cooker Broccoli Cheese Soup, Cooking Classy
I had to add at least one soup in this roundup! Â It’s still too hot for soup right now, but I know it’s not going to be too long before I’m adding it to my menu. Â I love love crockpot soups!
Not Chicken Pot Pie (Slow Cooker), The Monthly Lineup
Can I tell you how much my hubby loves Chicken Pot Pie? Â And really, my whole family? Â This is at the very top of my must-try list!
 Mississippi Roast, Table for Two
You can’t beat a really good roast, and this one looks seriously good.
Slow Cooker Chicken Fajitas, Cooking Classy
YUM!
Happy fall, and happy back-to-school!
