Winter Wonderland Christmas Tree by Balsam Hill

It’s the best time of the year! This weekend we decorated not one, but two Christmas trees, including this one, which I’ve named the Winter Wonderland Christmas Tree. It’s simple…whites and creams and snowflakes…all inspired by the simple beauty of the snow covered trees that I see all through the winter in the country woods surrounding us.

We always cut down a tree as a family each year, which is a much-loved tradition. But this year I added a tree to my library, which you can see from the front of the house, and I absolutely love it. I’m so excited to share it with you for several reasons, including the fact that that my friends at Balsam Hill asked me to be a part of the their 12 Bloggers of Christmas series for 2019. They sent me this gorgeous tree and ornaments to match my Winter Wonderland theme.

Simplicity is always my theme, and the ornaments accomplish that in a stunning way. They also pair perfectly with the Frosted Balsam Fir., and the whole effect definitely gave me the Winter Wonderland I was going for!

I immediately fell in love with the Snowflake Ornaments and matching tree topper, then added several French Country ornament sets, which are absolutely gorgeous. I had a hard time deciding which ones to choose, but eventually went with the Silver Crackle and Jumbo sets, and they are perfection.

I could honestly cry every time I see the tree skirt…it’s a gorgeous cream color with a pleat that goes along the edges. I love love it, and because we don’t put gifts under this tree, I can see it all the time. (Gifts go under the tree in our family room, but we actually don’t even put any out until Christmas Eve after the kids are asleep. It’s a really fun tradition, and the kids get so excited to see them all on Christmas morning!)

My kids are always part of the decorating, and they eagerly (and carefully) handed me ornaments to place on the tree.

After we were finished, the kids didn’t want to leave the room, so they snuggled up on the couch to read Christmas stories. That’s the magic of a Christmas tree!

The glow of the lights, the feeling it brings into our home…all of it is magical, and it’s my absolute favorite time of year.
